I signed a 2 year lease with my wife, unfortunately we separated after 16 months of living in the house and she moved out of the state with my daughter, so all of the sudden I was stuck by my self with a rent that was meant to be paid by 2 incomes. I tried to cxl de lease with a 30 day notice but the answer was no, instead they wanted to charge me a 2 month penalty on top of the 30 day notice, I ask them to wait until the 30th of the current month because I was in the process of getting a loan to paid for the remainder of the lease in advance but instead they filed the eviction on the 28th and now want to charge me $450 for the cort costs.

I had never been late on my rent until that life event situation but I guess there is no consideration for that.

You are much better off renting from an independent owner who is more in touch with reality and will be a lot more appreciative of a good tenant than this corporation that will not only provide you with no help, but will try to get even more money from you. I'm really not surprised that they rate so bad among tenants, I guess that I'm just another bad review on the list.

Reason of review: Problems with payment.
